Site Update
Wow, it's hard to believe it's been so long since my last post. Towards the end of the last season I got really worn down by work. Long days and nights and trying to squeeze this in really took its toll on me. While I did have fun working on the site the past couple years, I am going to be shutting the site down within a month. Next season probably won't leave me with much more free time than last season did, and my personal life really can't handle the time the website will consume.
I'm not totally going away though, I will be doing a weekly minor league update on Athletics Nation next season, which will still allow me to be active in the community, but won't nearly take up as much time as this website did. I thank all of you for your support over the last few years, and hope to see you all at Athletics Nation in 2006.

Farm Update - 09/11/05
This is a little old, but the AFL rosters have been selected. Shane Komine and Steve Bondurant are the only 2 pitchers going, while Kurt Suzuki, Daric Barton and Andre Ethier are the hitters headed to Arizona. A solid group of players should make for an interesting season.
Sacramento: Sacramento's bid to 3-peat the PCL has come to an end. Despite a bottom of the ninth, 2 out game tying home run, Sacramento lost 5-2 in 11 innings. Mike Ziegler had a fine start, giving up 2 runs (1 earned) on 4 hits, a walk and 9 strikeouts. Jairo Garcia took the loss after giving up 3 runs (2 earned) on a hit, a walk and a HBP over 2/3 of an inning. Jermaine Clark smacked a 2-run homer in the bottom of the ninth. Hiram Bocachica went 2-4 with a walk and a double. Andre Ethier singled 3 times, while Charles Thomas and Andrew Beattie each singled twice.
Vancouver: Vancouver couldn't wrap up their series, forcing a game 5. James Shull went 5 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, 2 walks and 6 strikeouts. Stephen Bryant tossed 3 perfect innings, striking out 5. Chad Boyd continues to play well, singling twice, while Tony Recker walked twice. The Canadians try for the championship again tomorrow night.
